The talk includes guided meditation, a chance to ask questions and light refreshments. Everyone is welcome!

About the Speaker
Coming to Winnipeg for the first time is the Internationally renowned teacher, Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab. He will be officially opening Kadampa Meditation Centre Winnipeg and giving teachings on how to find happiness through meditation and modern Buddhism.
Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, International meditation teacher and NKT-IKBU Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada in Toronto and National Spiritual Director of Canada is a modern Buddhist monk. He is dedicated to helping people from all walks of life attain lasting happiness through developing inner peace, compassion and wisdom. Gen-la is deeply respected throughout the world for his powerful teachings and experience of unifying Buddha’s teachings with busy daily life.

About the Venue
Our Centre location is at 839 Ellice Ave, downtown, West End Winnipeg in the Daniel McIntyre neighbourhood. We will be officially opening on April 27th with a beautiful modern meditation room and bookshop. Walk-in meditation classes will be held here a few weeks before the GRAND OPENING.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking: There is plenty of street parking available and it’s free after 5:30pm.
Transit: There is a bus stop for the #14 and #71 in front of the building on Ellice Ave.
How can I register for this public talk and the weekend events?
Pre-Registration is available only online and to ensure a space we highly encourage attendees to pre-register. We will be accepting registration at the door.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and cash.
Will you have meditation books/cds for sale?
Books and cd’s on meditation and modern Buddhism will be sold before and after the talk.
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
You do not need to bring anything special other than yourself! Water is allowed in the meditation room, but please do not bring food and other drinks in with you as it can be distracting to others.
