Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our lives and develop inner peace. These classes focus on using Buddhist understanding to help us solve our daily problems, let go of negative minds and find the lasting happiness we seek.

Each class includes teaching, guided meditation and an opportunity to ask questions. Although taught as a series (see CLASS TITLES below), each class is self-contained and can be attended individually.

Overcoming Anxiety

Some people just seem to roll with the punches, while others are tormented by crippling anxiety at the merest glimpse of potential trouble.

What is the secret of keeping it together in the face of adversity? How do we rid ourselves of anxiety and connect with a more peaceful, balanced part of ourself?
Meditation helps us become familiar with naturally happy and strong states of mind. Furthermore, Buddhist wisdom can teach us to exchange our own burden of problems and worry for compassion and a sense of connection to others. By practising these techniques we don’t just learn to cope, but we continue to thrive and grow, no matter what life hurls our way.

Overcoming Anger, Developing Patience

In this busy world, our experiences of happiness are fleeting and short-lived, while our inner peace eludes us completely. Our negative states of mind, such as uncontrolled desire and anger, create endless problems for ourselves and others, and prevents us from fulfilling our deepest wishes.

These teachings, based on the book How to Solve Our Human Problems by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, offer clear and simple solutions, guiding us to an oasis of peace within our hearts.
