About the Course & Vow Ceremony
THE HALF DAY COURSE
A Bodhisattva is someone who has developed the courage and determination to overcome all negative unpeaceful states of mind, such as anger, attachment and selfishness and has made the decision to live a life of altruism, committed to benefiting every living being they meet in skillful, wise and compassionate ways. The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, a way of life all Mahayana Buddhists aspire to engage in, is a powerful way to transform busy daily life into profound spiritual paths.
In this special day course we will learn about the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life and how to battle the inner enemy of the delusions to become a friend of the world.
THE MAHAYANA BODHISATTVA VOW CEREMONY (optional)
The gateway for entering Mahayana Buddhism is making the promise to engage in the Bodhisattva’s training, motivated by the compassionate good heart of bodhichitta. This is the Bodhisattva vow. By keeping this promise we move ever closer to the attainment of supreme enlightenment. Gen Rigden will give an explanation of the vows and you can take them at any level you wish.
$25 for the half day course | FREE for monthly members
